Yesterday evening (12th January 2010) at the village hall, a car was broken into during the parish meeting and a bag containing a purse, credit cards, keys and other items was stolen. The car was parked in an unlit area on the road due to the snowy / slippery car park. The driver's door window was smashed and the bag stolen from under the pedals of the vehicle - so nothing was "on show", making the theft all the more baffling.
