Local Primary School

Thorndon Primary School is our catchment primary school and is a small (currently around 50 children) and very friendly school. Children can travel to school on the council provided minibus which collects at around 08:15 each morning and returns at around 15:30 each afternoon. If you do wish to use the minibus, you will need to contact the local education department to arrange a pass for your children.

Local High School

Hartismere is our local catchment high school. At around 700 pupils it's relatively small and has produced excellent academic results in recent years. Debenham, Diss and Stradbroke all provide good local schooling too. Travel to Hartismere is again funded by the council who will either assign you to the public bus service which picks up at the Four Horseshoes at around 08:20 OR to the local minibus which picks up at various points throughout the two villages. Which bus you get appears to be completely random!

Sixth Form / College

Both Hartismere and Diss have excellent sixth form facilities
