Happily, Wingfield Barns is, phoenixlike, to open this very week, with a lively and varied programme for 2009.This is under the auspices of the Mid-Suffolk County Council, our Councillor, Diana Kearsley, playing a key part.  There is something planned for almost everyone!

For background and details of the programme, go to  www.wingfieldbarns.com.  Box Office:01379 384505.

In the early years the Choir’s repertoire tended to be centred on baroque and classical music though, with the passage of time, works by Brahms, Verdi , Britten and Vaughan Williams began to feature.
