Site Submission Policy

There comes a point in every public website's life where transparency of policy becomes important and rules need to be made explicit. In light of recent submissions, that time has come for the Thornhams website and you will now find a document outlining the site submission policy here.

The policy outlines the process that takes place when users submit content to this site and some common sense rules that are applied when approving content. There isn't anything you wouldn't expect to see but feel free to comment below and thanks for taking the time to read.

Spring Refresh

Spring is here, and the website has been rejuvinated in line with it's natural surroundings Wink. As well as the general look of the site, I've tinkered with the menus too. I've tried to simplify things by dispensing with the menu on the right hand-side and adding sub-menus to the modified main menu across the top of the page. I will no doubt continue to tinker for a while but I hope the new look and feel suits you? Comments welcomed of course and please do point out any problems - I can't for example test the site on all browsers so if you use something slightly out of the ordinary and have problems then let me know.

Software update

I have today updated the 'core' software that the website runs on. Sadly this was a necessary upgrade to avoid leaving ourselves open to malicious attack from people with nothing better to do than look for, and exploit, older versions of the software. Everything seems to have gone smoothly but please let me know ASAP if you spot any problems. Thanks.

Forum Revisited

I'm like a terrier with a rabbit on this one and just won't let it go Wink. As mentioned at the village meeting last night, I was minded to rationalise the overly complex village forum and reduce it to a single "space" to chat / advise / sell / observe / evangelise etc. All in the hope that we get more discussion going - so, head on over to the newly revamped forum and get chatting / selling / whatever...
