Friends of St Mary Magdalen

                                                         Invitation

Meeting - Friday November 11th at 6pm at Red House, Thornham Magna

Julia has kindly offered to host this event. We hope to enlarge membership and think of some innovative ways to raise money in order to keep our beautiful and historic church in a good state of repair. There will be drinks and canapés and it is, of course, also an opportunity to get together with friends and neighbours!

Thornham Apple Festival - Thank you

Thanks to everyone who helped out and supported the event this year.

Despite the mixed weather, we still managed to get 300 punters through the doors and raised around £1200 for Beyond the Wall.

On behalf of the charity i'd really like to stress how much we appreciate this support and we hope you will be back next year.

I'd also like to extend our thanks to Mid Suffolk District Council who gave us a small grant to cover the costs of the event.

There is a nice piece concerning the festival in the East Anglian today and there should be something in the Bury Free Press and Diss Express later in the week.

Requests for a return of a cyder bar have been noted but any other feedback please feel free to email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
