Burglaries

Double check your locks, windows and particularly doors to out-buildings / garages - there has been a run of burglaries in the local area this past week and these things do tend to happen all at once. The thefts have been in Botesdale, Wetheringsett and Hoxne so be on the lookout...

Oil Thefts - Mid Suffolk

Police are appealing for information following a number of heating oil thefts at three villages in Mid Suffolk over the last few weeks.

Between Sunday 1st and Monday 30th January heating oil was stolen from houses in Church Road in Old Newton, Old Rectory Gardens in Occold and Wattisfield Road in Hinderclay. If you have any information about any of these thefts please contact Mid Suffolk police on 101 quoting reference ST/12/339

Theft of motor vehicle - Gislingham

On Monday 16th January at 2.30pm on Finningham Road, Gislingham a silver Ford Transit van, registration AV59 OMP has been taken from the street. The van had been left parked outside a property with the keys in the ignition. The vehicle had only been left parked up for a few minutes before it was seen to drive off at speed in the direction of Finningham village heading south.

Aggravated Burglary; Rickinghall

Police are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary in Rickinghall.

The incident took place at about at 8.50pm Thursday 26 January at a property on The Street, Rickinghall.

Theft in Gislingham

Mellis Road, Gislingham between 8pm on 05/10/11 and 7am on 06/10/11 a manhole cover has been removed and a quantity of copper cables cut and removed from under ground.  Calls in relation to this incident should be made to PC Colin Taylor on 01473 613500 quoting reference ST/11/3273.
