Thornham Magna church tower has 6 bells which are rung regularly for practices, services , weddings and special occasions.

We are a very small band of local regular ringers (2 from Magna, 1 from Parva, 2 from Eye and 2 from Yaxley)  and newcomers would be welcome to boost our numbers.

Our youngest ringers are two twelve year olds who have  been ringing for 18 months. They practise at Wickham Skeith on Saturday mornings and are now able to ring for services along with the rest of the band.

I've dug out a few old village photos and news articles and included them below. The original school photo has names but I've cut them off in the scanning process because the scanner isn't big enough and I wasn't sure whether to publish them or not...

An interestiing local event was the Tithe War at Wortham in the 1930s. There are probably  various published accounts but the only one I know is the play performed by the Eastern Angles a few years ago.
