Anyone for Cricket?

There will be a friendly Cricket match held at the recently repurposed Cricket pitch on Saturday 23rd August at 13:30. The match is between the "Mellis CC at Thornham" team and a team raised by the Hennikers / Thornham Estate. Everyone from the Thornhams is invited to come along and watch, have tea and see what Mellis CC are doing with the grounds - even join the game...

UNITARY SUFFOLK?

A public consultation is in progress until 26 September on the form in which Suffolk should now become unitary, ie only one layer of government above local communities (in the Thornhams, the Parish Meeting).  We need to establish whether Villagers want to offer a joint view and, if so, whether a meeting for discussion is needed.
