Though a small village in numbers, more than 40 Thornham Magna residents came together despite a rainstorm, meeting in the cosy village hall, fire lit with local wood, to plant trees and shrubs. It turned out to be a fun and successful occasion in which 12 native trees and 52 shrubs were planted by children and local householders.

Thieving scum have stolen the oil from the village hall oil tanks once again. They couldn't take the tank this time but they cut off the lock and took the oil.
We're currently testing a small incendiary device which first sprays the perpetrators with a small dose of petrol and then explodes, setting fire to them, the oil and their vehicles and thus rather effectively dissuading further thefts.
Keep watch over your own supplies and let us know if you'd like to order a "MagnaBomb" to protect your tank.

The section of footpath that goes between the letters H and I has been reopened, this is the section to the west of Water Lane which goes over the river, where the new bridge is. It is very important that walkers to not enter the wet meadows from this footpath and that dogs are kept on a lead at all times. We ask also that dog owners clear up after their dogs, as standing in dog mess can ruin a lovely walk.
Thank you and i hope you enjoy using the loop.

What do think about the play areas in the village and at the Thornham Walks? How did you play as a child? What would you like to see for your own children?
Make your views known by completing the questionnaire available here.

Some time ago I asked if there was any well rotted manure around and someone kindly suggested a pile in clay lane. Is this still available? If so can you just help yourself?
Its time to get the garden sorted and organic matter is needed.\\thanks for yor help in advance.
