Thankyou to all those who took the time to complete the Open Spaces Questionnaire (either online or in paper form). Approximately 20% of the village (21 households) responded. Irene has collated these results in to the PDF document I have linked to below - many thanks to Irene for her hard work in making the results easy to read. If you have any comments on the results or indeed the questionnaire then feel free to add them below.

Mellis Cricket Club at Thornham will be holding its annual President's Day on Saturday 27th June from 12 midday onwards. There will be cricket and refreshments throughout the afternoon and we should be delighted to welcome anyone who wishes to come along. In fact, we should be very pleased to offer anyone a cup of tea and a piece of cake on the days that we have a home match (please see the fixture list on our webpage).

To the fixture listed can be added two more home games, on 18th July and 27th September.

The accomplished cellist Orlando Jopling is coming to Thornham on Saturday July 18th and giving two concerts: 12 noon in Thornham Parva, and 6pm in Thornham Magna churches, where he will be performing five of the Suites for solo cello by J S Bach. Orlando is taking his performances of these works to churches up and down the country. It is great that he has fitted us into his schedule, and he was very keen to share the performance between our two churches. I will add some notes below about the music.

For those who would like to make a day of it Karen and her team at the Walled Garden will be offering lunch, and Magna church will be open to everyone during the afternoon for teas, cakes, bells, etc. Do drop in! Leaflets will be coming round with the Gnus, but for more information ring James Fawcett, 01379 788130.
