Submitting Web Links
It is really easy to submit a link to our site so if you find a resource that you think we should link to then please do submit a link and help others benefit from your knowledge. As guidance, submit links to local services, facilities, clubs etc. Businesses
are best left out of this section and instead added to our local directory. Non local links are of course welcome too if you feel they would help people in our community in some way.
To submit a link you need to be logged in.
Once logged in, you should see a 'Submit Web Link' option on the user menu on
the right hand side of your web browser. Click this link and you will be
presented with a simple form which allows you to enter the details of the web
site you think we should link to. Obviously the URL is the most important item
here – the http://www..... address of the
website you wish to submit. The Name field is the text that will be used in
the list of links so it should be meaningful. The Section field determines under
what sub-section of our links your new link will appear. You will have to choose
one of the pre-created sections here and if you think we need to add a new
section then please contact us with details – perhaps the easiest thing to do
would be to add your section recommendation in the Description field of the
form along with a short description of the website you are recommending. This
description will appear underneath the Name item in our list of links. We
will edit out any additional text suggesting new sections for you and
automatically create and move the link to a new section if appropriate. Once
you’ve completed the form, simply click on the floppy disk icon and your link
will be sent to the team for approval. If you make a mistake or want to start
again, then press the cross icon and you will be returned to the previous page.
That's it, it really is straightforward so get submitting and help others benefit from your knowledge / experience!
